Our mission, our vision and our commitment

The JMC is dedicated to the study, promotion and performance of fine choral music in Jacksonville. Its focus is to stage professional high quality performances of classical and other choral music which highlight the beauty of the human voice.

JMC maintains a high vocal quality through regular auditioning. The Chorale will remain a cultural outreach for local singers to study and perform a diverse range of written music from the Middle Ages through the Millenium which will be of interest to performers and to discerning audiences.

Our greatest wish is to help support our community through worthwhile endeavors while at the same time enhancing the musical environment of Jacksonville. JMC has achieved 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status and is applying for cultural grants. JMC will need to continue, however, to rely on the participation, commitment and financial support of the local music community, the public, JMC members, small businesses and corporate sponsors to fund this volunteer organization.

JMC plans to continue broadening our city's cultural arts heritage but we must have the support of those who believe in our mission.
